The Conference4me smartphone app provides you with the most comfortable tool for planning your participation at GAMM 2024. Browse the complete program directly from your phone or tablet and create your very own agenda on the fly.

The app is available for Android and iOS. To download the mobile app, please visit the app store of your mobile device.

Our conference will be visible in the app 1–2 weeks before the conference.

We would like to point out that photos and videos will be taken on behalf of the GAMM during the Annual Meeting. These recordings may be published as part of the GAMM’s press and public relations work, e.g., on the website, in social media or within print products.

For those participants, who do not want to be shown in these, the registration desk is handing out lanyards in a different color.

The conference team members can be found at the registration desk, the info-point (cloak room G22/119), and are present throughout the conference venue. They can easily be recognized by their T-Shirts, or the colored line on the name tag indicating their staff status. Do not hesitate to approach them with queries! They will gladly assist you. Technical staff assistants are present in all lecture rooms.

The “eduroam” network is available on the entire campus. Participants, who do not have an eduroam account, can log into the “OvGU-Event” network with the passphrase “8quafAw-“, or use the Magdeburg tourist Wi-Fi “otto-hotspot” for free for 6h per day.

Latest changes to the program will be communicated at the registration desk, on the daily programs at the rooms, or through the conference app.

Participants can collect their lost items or leave found items at the registration desk.

If you have not booked lunch tickets for the Mensa during registration, you can still purchase them at the registration desk. These are valid for the upper floor that is reserved for the conference participants. On the ground floor you can select from the daily menu and cash payment is possible. Please find the further possibilities for lunch in walking distance in our lunch flyer.

Throughout the week, there will be medical emergency staff of ASB Magdeburg at the venue. They can be found in room G22/113.

Participants are kindly asked to wear and display their name badge at all times in order to access the conference venue and especially social events.

Additional tickets, depending on the purchased options for the conference dinner, YAMM Lunch and Welcome Reception are enclosed in the conference envelope or marked on the badges.

The two main lecture halls (Hörsaal) are those with the numbering H1 (located in building 26 (G26) opposite of the Pareto building G22a) and H5 (building 16 (G16), just behind G22a) on campus. They will host all plenary events. Additionally, we use lecture hall H2 in G22a for section talks.

The seminar rooms are numbered Gxx/yyy. They are located in G16 and G22a and the yyy indicates the room number in the building. The first digit indicates which floor the room is on.

In order to guarantee good accessibility, signposts display the buildings together with their rooms, and indicate availability of coffee desks, in addition, green beach flags with the GAMM logo are located at the main entrances of all important buildings.

The opening and closing, all plenary lectures, the Ludwig Prandtl memorial lecture, and the Richard von Mises award lecture(s) will be streamed from H1 (G26) to H5 (G16). Interaction from H5 will be limited, though.

The public lecture on Tuesday evening will be held in H5 and streamed to H1.

Travel to the conference venue:

From the railway station: Those who will arrive by IC/ICE trains should take the destination Magdeburg Hauptbahnhof and then in front of the station take tram towards campus. Due to constructions on one of the main tram tracks at the city center, we highly advise checking local transportation information shortly before arrival:

Ticket prices can be found on the above websites. Magdeburg’s public transportation system also supports FairTIQ to get you the best ticket options automatically, and the EasyGO app for mobile ticket purchase and timetable lookups.
