Travelling

The workshop venue is easy to reach using either public transportation or by car.
Instructions are provided below.

By airplane
There are very good non-stop connections between Dresden and various airports in Germany (Frankfurt, Düsseldorf, Munich, Cologne/Bonn, Stuttgart), Switzerland, Great Britain and Russia. Dresden can be reached from all directions in the world via the major hubs.

By car
Dresden is connected to the national main road network via three autobahns.
The A4 leads to Dresden from the west (Cologne-Eisenach-Chemnitz) and from the east (Wroclaw-Görlitz-Bautzen), the A13 from the north (Rostock-Berlin) and the A17 connect the Saxon state capital with Prague.
From the direction of Magdeburg/Leipzig, the state capital of Dresden can be reached via the A14 and further on via the A4.
Dresden is also connected to the transport network via the federal roads B6, B97, B170, B172 and B173.

By Train
Dresden is an important hub in the long-distance network of Deutsche Bahn AG. There are connections to many major German cities several times a day, usually every 2 hours.
The ICE, EC or IC trains stop at both Dresden Central Station and Dresden-Neustadt station. In international traffic, for example, Wroclaw, Prague, Liberec, Bratislava, Budapest and Vienna can be reached directly.

By Bus
A fast, inexpensive and direct connection between Dresden and the big cities like Berlin, Munich, Vienna and Prague is also offered by a regular bus journey. The comfortable and air-conditioned coaches run several times a day, depending on the route, with boarding options at various points between the cities.
