By airplane
The closest international airports are Köln Bonn, Düsseldorf and Frankfurt.
From the airport take public transportation to Aachen Westbahnhof or Aachen Hauptbahnhof.
By car
Germany’s highway network leads right into Aachen, allowing a comfortable and convenient trip to Aachen by car or coach from anywhere on the European continent.
By Train
The nearest train station to RWTH Aachen is Aachen West. From here, both the central area of RWTH Aachen with the main building at Templergraben and the campus area Hörn can be reached on foot, but also by bus.
The main station Aachen is connected to RWTH Aachen University by various bus lines. The bus ride to all campus areas takes about 20 minutes.
